‘Breaking Bad’ Season 5 Trailer Premieres At Comic-Con 2012: Spoilers About The New Season Emerge [VIDEO]

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, the stars of AMC's hit series Breaking Bad, donned yellow hazmat suits at Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego on Friday to introduce a trailer for season 5 of the drug-running drama.

Appearing below, the trailer begins with a confrontation between Gustavo Fring's former henchman Mike and Walter White. Jesse stands in their way, saying, If you kill him, you're gonna have to kill me. It's a tense moment, but things only get crazier from there.

According to the trailer, with Gus Fring out of the way, Walter White is about to become the new meth kingpin of the Southwest. It's a chilling proposition, and one that fans of the show have been excited about for a long, long time.

You're trouble. You're a time bomb, tick-ticking away. And I have no intention of being around for the boom, Mike tells Walt in a chilling moment.

The trailer ends with Walt threatening Saul Goodman into continuing to provide legal services. This ends when I say it ends, Walt says.

In one of the most enigmatic shots in the trailer, we can briefly see Walter White with a full beard and a head full of hair closing a car trunk full of automatic weapons. This look doesn't match any of the flashbacks we've seen of Walt when he had hair, so it's reasonable to assume that at some point the great Heisenberg will have to greatly change his appearance and possibly go on the run.

While the trailer gives a lot of clues, plenty of details are still to be revealed. Fans will have to wait until Sunday at 10 p.m. EDT to catch the premiere of Breaking Bad season 5.

At the Breaking Bad Comic-Con panel, Bryan Cranston said, This Sunday's premiere isn't violent, it's intellectual.

Aaron Paul went on to add: This entire season is just creepy. Unsettling. And, in true Jesse Pinkman fashion, he also said bitch a lot.

The cast and crew, including series creator Vince Gilligan, went on to discuss the impending darkness of the season. With Walt attempting to become kingpin, he has to make some hard compromises. He does something this season that, as the first viewer of the show, I myself would probably say, 'I lose all sympathy,' Gilligan said.

Gilligan continued: Perhaps [Walt's] happy ending would be for him to die. He's become so toxic and cancerous, maybe that's the way it's supposed to go.
