Days after Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly were seen hanging out, Brian Austin Green confirmed that he and his wife called it quits but maintained it didn’t stem from cheating.

In his podcast, the actor clarified his and Fox’s decision to split days after her and the rapper’s sighting. Green said he doesn’t know Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Colson Baker, personally but they had talked about him in the past, People reported.

“[F]rom what she's expressed, he's a really just nice, genuine guy. I trust her judgment. She's always had really good judgment," Green said, adding that Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are just friends as of now.

Green further said that he didn’t want people thinking he was a victim and they are villains in this situation because this wasn’t new to them. He and Fox have been married for over a decade and share three kids, Bodhi Ransom, Journey River, and Noah Shannon.

Despite the unfortunate split, Green said he doesn’t want him and Fox to be in conflict because she has been her best friend for 15 years already. They met in 2004 on the set of “Hope & Faith” and exchanged “I do’s” in 2010.

After the revelation of the “90210, Beverly Hills” star, an Us Weekly insider claimed that Green is “not in a good place” following the split. His 18-year-old son, Kassium, whom he shares with ex Vanessa Marcil, reportedly isn’t sure of what’s next for their family dynamic.

“Kass doesn’t know if he will be spending more time with the family with Megan stepping away,” the source added.

The breakup came in the midst of Green and Fox’s efforts to reconnect with the teen after custody problems in the past.

The “Jennifer’s Body” star and the artist met on the set of “Midnight in the Switchgrass.” Another source claimed that Machine Gun Kelly and Fox have been at the latter’s house in the past weeks having fun.

Although Green believed that the two are just friends, romance rumors between Machine Gun Kelly and Fox grew louder when the “Transformers” starred in the artist’s music video for “Bloody Valentine.”
