As the search continues on the second week for Brian Laundrie, the man sought in Gabbi Petito's high-profile death, an unknown man, who bears striking resemblance to Laundrie, has taken to TikTok to prove that he is not the fugitive.

The profile created by the doppelganger @notbrianlaundrie on TikTok has a caption that reads: "Just trying to prove that I’m #NotBrianLaundrie. Happy to answer any questions." The account has now become an overnight sensation, fetching more than 530,000 likes and nearly 2 million views since Tuesday, New York Post reported.

“I would just like to put all of these rumors to death,” the man said in his first post that got around 1.8 million views.

In a video, he asked his viewers to share tips on how to avoid being attacked if someone mistakes him for Laundrie. He asked for advice on what he should say to people who think he is Laundrie.

"I’m flying across the country tomorrow for my cousin’s wedding, and it’s a pretty long flight,” he said in another video. “So if you have any tips for me on how not to get attacked or accused of being this guy, get at me. Duet this or leave a comment,” he added.

Many viewers took it as an opportunity to ask the doppelganger questions as if he was Laundrie.

"Where would you go if you wanted to hide from the world for a few weeks, months, years, Mr. Not Brian?" asked one user. "While hiking on the Appalachian trail, what are your comfort items?" another commenter asked.

A new post shows the man wearing a sunglass, mask and a hat, and appears to be getting ready for the flight he said he will be taking. He asked his viewers to wish him good luck as he started the journey.

The man also posted a video of him sitting against a wall and having breakfast secretly before he boarded the flight. He later updated his viewers from a rental car, saying he has safely reached his destination. He said the journey was quite uneventful, thanks to the mask and hat.

Brian Laundrie, 23, is a Long Island native who has been the subject of a massive manhunt led by the FBI. Investigators found the body of his 22-year-old girlfriend, Petito, on Sept. 19 at a remote camping ground in Wyoming.

Petito disappeared last month during the couple’s cross-country trip. Laundrie returned to his parent's house in Florida alone on Sept. 1 and disappeared on Sept. 14, according to the investigators.
