Bride-To-Be Shares List Of Strict Rules For Wedding: 'You Will Be Tackled'
A bride-to-be has laid down a list of rules that she expects every single guest to follow to a tee so she can have the wedding she always dreamed of.
Jasmine Cruz and her fiancé, Pablo Cadena, got engaged in August 2020 after dating each other for about 10 years. The couple is all set to tie the knot in September this year at their Santa Clarita venue in California. And, to make sure everything goes perfectly, Cruz shared a list of rules that has now gone viral on TikTok with more than 2 million views, according to Insider. She also posted a second part to the video and even answered some FAQs.
“No kids,” Cruz declared as she explained her rules in the video, posted on Jan. 28. Although exceptions will be there, Cruz said in her video, “Everybody gets mad about this one. No kids … I don't want kids running around unattended, their parents not watching. That will absolutely not be happening.”
Cruz also said “big announcements” were strictly banned at her wedding to make sure the spotlight isn’t taken away from the bride and groom.
“If you're pregnant, keep it to yourself. If you want to propose, keep that to yourself. Do not come to my wedding day taking the attention away from me and my man, you will be tackled," Cruz said in the video.
"My bridesmaids, you don't want to mess with them, they're scary," she added.
Anybody daring to wear white at the wedding is also in for a rude awakening. “My bridesmaids have specific instructions already to dump a whole bottle of red wine on you, so let's just avoid that,” Cruz said in the video.
While speaking to PEOPLE, Cruz said she was “shocked” to see her video go viral and “didn't expect to have so many people upset at what I thought was common sense…”
At the same time, however, the bride-to-be also admitted she made the video after seeing an online trend and wanted to try it out.
"I saw the trend going around when I started wedding planning. Since I already had some stuff laid out I decided to add to it and make the TikTok," Cruz told the outlet. "I'm one of those girls who has thought of her wedding day since I was a kid. So I have a picture of what I want the day to be. I wrote down all these different ideas and it eventually became the rules that I posted."
Some of the other rules on her list were: “If you weren’t invited, you’re not welcome,” “no garter,” “my mom has creative say over everything day of,” and “vendors get treated as guests when they take breaks.”
The bride-to-be told Insider: "We don't have the biggest budget, so we're just trying our best to keep everything local and also as inexpensive as we can, but still have our dream wedding.”
