The British royal family certainly knows how to stay busy. With Meghan Markle and Prince Harry currently on their royal tour of Africa, and Prince William and Kate Middleton planning their own history-making trip, it's no surprise that they may need to bring in extra help. This may leave royal watchers wondering how they could get hired when new job opportunities arise.

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie's former secretary has now offered a few tips that could assist anyone searching for royal employment. What suggestions did he make?

According to Express, James Upsher, the former royal employee, has shared some of those helpful hints in order to assist those seeking employment. With his years of experience, which include helping organize Queen Elizabeth II's 90th birthday and scheduling overseas tours, his knowledge will likely prove to be invaluable to those who may be considering putting in an application.

One suggestion that Upsher gave was to emphasize your connections to the UK and Commonwealth. "Your understanding and connection to parts of the world beyond the UK that connect with the Royal Family are hugely valuable to the organization and you should stress those in your application," he wrote.

He also revealed that the line "I have always dreamed of working for the Royal Family" will exclude you from the group of potential candidates, as many have "ruled themselves out in the very first line." Additionally, he shared that everyone should mention their "great respect for the position," but "play this one very cool to stay out of the 'no' pile."

On top of those hints, he also stated that shared values can really go a long way in making you stand out. "Pretty much every positive social activity in the UK - and many beyond - have an association with Royal Family and mentioning the ones you're involved with - and that you know about the connection - can demonstrate the values you share with the Household," he wrote.

As job opportunities seem to open up here and there, these tips may prove to be quite helpful to those attempting to move into an official position. Earlier this year, Queen Elizabeth II was searching for a "Housekeeping Assistant that will report to the Master of the Household's Office." Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex also hired new staff members recently, becoming the first royals to hire such a unique team.
