Britney Spears’ lawyers are unhappy the singer’s family members are publicly speaking about conservatorship.

A source told U.S. Weekly that the pop star’s mother and siblings were planning to "give more interviews that would sway public support to end" her conservatorship. However, Spears’ lawyers aren’t happy with the idea.

"Britney’s lawyers aren’t happy the family is going public with comments about how she feels about it and hopes for the future of being free," the source told U.S. Weekly.

This comes weeks after the singer’s brother, Bryan Spears, revealed the pop star "wanted to get out of" the conservatorship, which came into effect in 2008. The conservatorship forbids the pop star from driving, spending her own money and getting married without her conservator’s consent.

In the July 23 episode of the "As Not Seen on TV" podcast, Bryan said, "She's been in this thing for quite some time now. Obviously there was a need for it in the beginning."

"It's very frustrating to have. Whether someone's coming in peace to help or coming in with an attitude, having someone constantly tell you to do something has got to be frustrating," he explained.

In 2008, Spears’ father, Jamie, was named the permanent conservator of her affairs . However, he stepped down from the role last year due to "personal health reasons."

In the interview, Bryan said the conservatorship was "a great thing for our family."

"We kind of came together and not everybody agreed with it either; everyone had their own opinion like, maybe we should do it this way or that way. But at the end I think we made the right choice," he said.

Bryan went on to raise questions about his younger sister living on her own after the conservatorship comes to the end.

"I know what she wants but at the end of the day, what is the reality of that? What is the practicality of that? So are you going to call and make reservations for yourself today?" he asked.

"I'm sure it's going to be an adjustment. Let's say it does get let go and she's on her own — everyday task stuff is probably ... it's a great challenge, but it's probably going to be. Like driving. She's the worst driver in the world — I'm not lying. I mean bless her heart, she really is not a really good driver and she hasn't had to do that," Bryan added.
