Bryan Ferry Marries Much Younger Girlfriend on Carribean Island
In a private wedding ceremony on the Turks and Caicos Islands, British rocker Bryan Ferry has married his 36-years-younger girlfriend, Amanda Sheppard.
The 66-year-old singer married Sheppard, 29, in a ceremony at the luxury beach resort of Amanyara on Jan. 4, after being introduced by one of his sons in 2009.
The bride wore a white dress by Lanvin, and the groom wore a dark blue suit by Anderson & Sheppard, the Daily Mail reported.
A spokesman for the star said it was a simple private ceremony.
Ferry and his first wife, Lucy Helmore, divorced in 2003 after 21 years of marriage. They have four sons: Otis, Tara, Isaac and Merlin. Ferry also famously dated Jerry Hall in the 1970s; she left him after two years for Mick Jagger.
Speaking of his relationship with a young girlfriend in an interview with the Mail On Sunday's Live magazine, Ferry said: The interesting thing is - and I don't want to say the wrong thing in case I get into trouble with my girlfriend - you never really meet people your own age who aren't married. I've very fortunate that I work in music, where you're in touch with different age groups, either the audience or people you work with. It does help. Obviously I'm not ageist.
