BTS continues to prove that it is one of the biggest boy bands in the world. Guinness Book of Records named the South Korean septet as the most streamed group on Spotify Tuesday.

The Big Hit Entertainment-formed group earned the title after its total streams peaked at 16.3 billion as of April 27, 2021. BTS surpassed the record that British rock band Coldplay formerly held at 16.1 billion streams.

However, Canadian rapper Drake still dominates as the top artist on the popular music streaming platform with a total of 37.9 billion streams.

The latest achievement of BTS brings the number of its records to 23, putting the group alongside the ranks of some of the most successful musicians in the history of Guinness World Records, such as The Beatles, Madonna, Mariah Carey and Ariana Grande.

BTS has approximately 26.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Among its most-streamed tracks are "Life Goes On," "Boy with Luv" and "Dynamite" with 298.6 million, 660 million and 885.2 million streams, respectively.

The K-pop group also broke the record for the most streamed track on Spotify in the first 24 hours after "Butter" got more than 11 million global streams in just a day. The latest track of BTS beat Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber's "I Don't Care."

Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, Suga, RM and V have also been setting records following the release of "Butter." Recently, the official music video of BTS' second English-language track broke the record for the most viewers for the premiere of a video on YouTube with over 3.9 million concurrent viewers.

YouTube even confirmed that the "Butter" music video had also broken the record for the most viewers for the premiere of a music video on the popular video-sharing platform. BTS' "Dynamite," which garnered 3 million concurrent peak views, previously held the record.

"Butter" also broke the record for the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours with more than 108 million views. The number also made it the most-viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group.
