KEY POINTS

- The March 12 event will be shown in theaters
Global superstars BTS will return to the concert scene in March and the event will be broadcasted live in theaters worldwide.
After a two-month hiatus, the septet is returning to the stage at Seoul Olympic Stadium on March 10, 12 and 13 for a reboot of their last year's highly successful Los Angeles concerts. The musical event, dubbed "BTS Permission to Dance on Stage – Seoul: Live Viewing," will broadcast live in cinemas worldwide.
The concerts on March 10 and 13 will be live streamed online, while the March 12 event will be broadcasted live in theaters. The latter will be a three-hour show that will feature the boyband's greatest hits.
The broadcast will be presented by Trafalgar Releasing and will be directed and produced by HYBE and Big Hit Music.
"We look forward to continuing our longstanding relationship with HYBE and BTS with this world-first live cinema broadcast of 'BTS Permission to Dance on Stage' concert, coming directly from Seoul to cinemas around the world on March 12," said Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing, Variety reported. "BTS have always shared a special connection with Army, and we are proud to bring them closer than ever through the group's awe-inspiring stage show live on the big screen."
Details on how to buy tickets for the concerts will be updated later on the boy band's Weverse account. Tickets for the theatre screening will be available in North and South America, Europe and Oceania on Feb. 22 and in Asia on Feb. 24. However, the screening schedule did not mention Africa, which angered some fans.
Many of them took to Twitter on Wednesday and began trending the topic "#DONTFORGETAFRICA" as they urged HYBE and Big Hit Music to screen the event in theaters in Africa.
"This is honestly disrespectful at this point, why is Africa always excluded?" one person wrote.
Another fan asked why there was not a single African country included in the scheduled theatrical release of the concert. "A whole CONTINENT:/ I'm sure some countries do have the infrastructure, I'm not expecting all countries to be included but not ONE out of 54."
Another user seemed very upset that the continent was repeatedly being ignored by BTS' music label.
"Africa ain't just a place you haven't been but also a whole entire continent that HYPE did not give merch, concerts and now a 'WORLDWIDE' cinematic streaming event to. I am extremely saddened. #DONTFORGETAFRICA," the user wrote.
