BTS' singer and dancer Jungkook aka Jeon Jungkook has formally completed his bachelor's degree at the Global Cyber University (GCU) under the Department of Broadcasting and Entertainment.

The 24-year-old South Korean superstar was also given the President's Award which he accepted virtually as he was unable to personally receive the honor at the school's graduation ceremony Thursday.

"Graduation is both a period and a beginning, but it is touching and exciting at the same time. Thank you for the valuable award, and I think learning something is always fun, wonderful, and exciting," the “Butter” singer said in his acceptance speech which was uploaded on the school's official YouTube page Thursday.

GCU is a South Korea-based school set on “globalizing Korean traditions” as per its vision and mission statement. It is promoting Korean pop culture or Hallyu culture around the world and is known as the BTS university because the members of the boy band are students of the GCU in various disciplines. Aside from RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, there are also other Korean stars who are taking up the Hallyu culture course at the GCU.

BTS fans, known as ARMY, rejoiced on Twitter and hailed the achievement of BTS’ youngest member.

A fan tweeted, “8yrs ago jungkook entered high School & today he graduated from Global Cyber University and he is the recipient of the highest award! The 'President Awards' Proud is really an understatement when it comes to him. Congrats jungkook @BTS_twt. You did so great.”

Another fan wrote, “Today, our Jungkookie won the "President Award", the highest award in Global Cyber University graduation . Our baby has even graduated. Congratulations baby.”

An ARMY also tweeted a photo of this year’s graduation ceremony side-by-side the graduation ceremony in 2021. The fan wrote, “Jungkook finally graduated from Global Cyber University and received President Awards. Taehyung and Jimin also graduated and got same awards from same university. We love successful and educated kings."

In 2021, V and Jimin also received the President’s Award after finishing their degrees at GCU on Entertainment and Media. They both promptly enrolled at GCU’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising and Media after completing their bachelor’s degrees.

Jin, RM, Suga and J-Hope are also attending their graduate degree courses in Advertising & Media at the GCU.
