  • BTS' Jungkook said in a recent interview that the best way to recharge is by sleeping
  • His fellow BTS members, V and Jimin, prefer to talk to fans on social media
  • BTS is currently busy preparing for its upcoming album after the success of English single "Dynamite"

BTS is currently busy promoting its hit all-English single “Dynamite” as well as preparing for its upcoming album, leaving the members hardly any downtime. But when they do get breaks, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook indulge in activities that help them relax and recharge.

For Jungkook, the youngest member of the group, it’s sleep that helps him recharge.

“The best way to recharge is by sleeping, and sleep is important,” Jungkook revealed last month during an interview to promote their song “Ioniq: I’m On It,” Billboard reported.

However, the singer, who is known as BTS’ “golden maknae,” lamented that he doesn’t get much sleep. The 23-year-old's other hobbies include video editing and photography.

His fellow BTS members had different answers, with V and Jimin saying the fans give them energy and J-Hope revealing that laughter was the best way to recharge. RM and Jin have the same method of eating and sleeping, but the BTS leader prefers reading to playing games, unlike the oldest member.

BTS rapper Suga, on the other hand, said he is busy for most of the day, joking that he'd like to know how to recharge.

“Ioniq: I’m On It,” which dropped Wednesday, Sept. 2, is BTS' collaboration with Hyundai for the release of its brand of Ioniq electric cars.

Meanwhile, Jungkook is one of the most popular members of the septet, becoming the most searched K-pop star on Google in the first half of 2020. He ranked at the top for 22 out of 25 weeks with over 628.57 daily searches and has held the record since 2017.

He also made TikTok history last month after raking in the most hashtag views on the app — despite not having his own account.

Jungkook garnered 15.6 billion views on TikTok through the use of his hashtag. The K-pop singer beat Indian film star Salman Khan, who had amassed 15.5 billion views, with this feat, Entertainment Tonight noted.

In June, videos of the South Korean singer had already gained 10 billion views. Less than two months later, BTS’ dedicated fan base, Army, watched his clips an additional 5 billion times.

In addition to his popularity on TikTok, Jungkook also recently became the first idol to have more than 200 fancams, or videos focused on his performances, with over 1 million views.

Jungkook’s birthday was another major event that saw an outpouring of love from BTS’ fans. They honored the singer and music producer during his birthday on Sept 1 with the hashtags #HappyBirthdayJungkook, #JungkookDay, and #StillWithJungkook, all of which spent hours on the Twitter trending list.

More than half of the top 30 trending topics worldwide that day were related to Jungkook, Teen Vogue noted.
