BTS' V Thanks Fans, Says 'I'm Better' After Testing Positive For COVID-19
BTS singer and dancer Kim Taehyung, more commonly known as V, assured fans he is getting better a week after he tested positive for COVID-19.
The K-pop idol shared an Instagram Story on Sunday, which showed an image of him sitting on his bed and looking at the camera while a message in Korean flashed on the screen. "Thank you for your concern. I'm all better thanks to you," it said, Koreaboo reported.
He also uploaded a short clip, in which he was seen moving his head closer to the camera. On the screen, he wrote in English, "You're sweet to worry. Have a good day."
A fan shared V's Instagram Story on Twitter.
V, also known as "Sold-Out King" due to his ability to sell out anything that he promotes, was the fifth BTS member to test positive for COVID-19 following Suga, RM, Jin and Jimin.
The boy band's label said the 26-year-old "Dynamite" singer experienced a mild sore throat and later tested positive for coronavirus.
"V completed two rounds of COVID-19 vaccinations and is not presenting any extraordinary symptoms other than a mild fever and sore throat. He is currently undergoing treatment at home while waiting for further guidelines from the health care authorities," Bit Hit Music said last week.
Supporters of the group, known as ARMY, immediately started trending the topics "#GetWellSoonTaehyung" and "#BTSV" to wish the K-pop musician a speedy recovery.
V took time to update his fans about his condition through his WeVerse page Thursday.
When a fan inquired about the status of his health, he replied, "I'm completely okay."
Another supporter sent a picture of a sky with clouds that looked like a whale and said their daughter is also recovering from COVID-19. The K-pop idol replied, "Oh, save."
Responding to the flurry of messages dedicated to him, V also uploaded a snap showing him touching a pack of eggs and captioned it, "From all your posts, I am touched."
The same day, J-Hope also assured fans that V was doing well while in isolation.
"Oh, Taehyung…Well, there's no need to worry too much," J-Hope said in a live broadcast he shared as part of his 28th birthday celebration Thursday.
