BTS’ V shed a tear while vacationing with the Wooga Squad in the latest trailer of the much-anticipated mini-series which is set to premiere this week.
The new teaser of “In the SOOP: Friendcation,” shared on YouTube opens with the group discussing their impromptu trip and V assuring his older friends to trust him on the surprise activity.
The outdoor-themed reality show is a spin-off of the “In The Soop” series starring BTS and later, boy band SEVENTEEN. The Wooga Squad, composed of Park Seo-Joon, Choi Woo-Shik, Park Hyung-Sik, rapper Peakboy and BTS’ V will star in a four-episode mini-series which will premiere on Friday on JTBC and Disney+.
Peakboy asked, “Do we just go and act like we’re having fun?” to which Seo-Joon replied, “No, not act like we’re having fun, we just have fun.”
The celebrity friends pitched various exciting ideas for their trip and all agreed to go fishing, ice skating, and engage in campfire activities. The trip was filmed in the early part of 2022, according to Soompi.
The trailer proceeds to show the squad having fun on the skating rink with Peakboy commenting, “This is so much fun. Doing things together makes everything fun.”
The boys are also shown enjoying an indoor pool and later gathering around a campfire and sharing interesting stories about themselves.
Peakboy said, “Honestly, this is the first time I’m saying this, but there’s only been one time where I said, ‘Can you listen to my story just this once?”
Woo-Shik also shared a secret and said, “Honestly, I was so jealous back then.” Hyung-Sik quipped, “I can’t express myself honestly.”
V chimed in and said, “My walls are down when I’m with you guys. We share honest stories because we all know each other so well,” before the group shares a toast around the campfire.
Later, as the squad lays on sleeping mats, one of them opens the light function of his cellphone and asked, “Taehyung (V’s birth name), are you crying?”
The trailer ends with the group members asking V why he is crying in the middle of a cold winter night.
This is the first TV show starring the Wooga squad which was formed in 2016 when Seo-Joon became close to V and Hyung-Sik while on the set of "Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth." Seo-Joon introduced Peakboy and Woo-Shik to his new friends and the group later became known as Wooga Squad.
