Caitlyn Jenner Shades Kim Kardashian's Ex Kanye West, Supports Pete Davidson

Caitlyn Jenner got candid about her step-daughter Kim Kardashian's struggles when the latter was still with Kanye West.

The former Olympian spoke about Kardashian's marriage to the "Donda" artist. According to Jenner, it wasn't easy for the Skims founder to live under the same roof as the Grammy winner.

"He was very difficult to live with," Jenner said on "The Pivot Podcast" Tuesday. "Actually, I'm really into Pete right now with Kim."

Jenner pointed out that even if she described West as a "very complicated guy," the billionaire had been on her side when she transitioned in 2015. Despite the support she received from West, Jenner preferred Kardashian's comedian beau over her rapper ex.

"We have a comedian in the family. Yay! We don't need more rappers. We need a comedian in the family," she continued.

According to Jenner, Kardashian brought her boyfriend to her home in Malibu, so they could meet. The "I Am Cait" alum was seemingly impressed with the former "Saturday Night Live" star and did not hesitate to give her stamp of approval to Davidson.

"[Davidson is] very different than what she would normally date, but Kimberly has been through a lot with the guys she's been with, especially Kanye," she continued. "Pete is 180 degrees in the other direction. First of all, he treats her so well, and when they were over here, Kim [was] so happy, and Kim deserves to be happy."

Several sources also previously said that Kardashian's family was happy with her relationship with the "King of Staten Island" star. An unnamed source told E! News in February that Davidson was "getting close" with her family, and "they really liked him."

The Kardashian-Jenner clan was reportedly happy with the way Davidson treated the mother of four. They want Kardashian to be happy, and the comedian makes her feel that way.

Another anonymous insider echoed the same sentiment to People. Davidson has been spending time with Kardashian in Los Angeles. He also had the chance to bond with her family.

"Pete fits right in with Kim's family. They all love him," the source added.

Although Kardashian's family is a huge fan of her boyfriend, Davidson had to skip her sister Kourtney Kardashian's wedding to Travis Barker. The comedian stayed stateside because he was expected to be part of the "SNL" Season 47 finale. Also, it was his last appearance since he decided to officially leave the NBC sketch comedy show after being part of it for eight years.
