Caitlyn Jenner Wears Same Classic Wrap-Dress Kate Middleton Wore To Announce 2010 Engagement
It appears Caitlyn Jenner may be taking fashion tips from Kate Middleton. The 65-year-old star of "I Am Cait" was spotted wearing a form-fitting blue Issa London dress that looked identical to the one Middleton wore in 2010 when she and Prince William announced their engagement.
The only difference between the two wrap dresses was the color, People points out. Jenner's appeared to be a deeper blue than Middleton's. Both ladies, however, chose to wear their brunette locks down in loose curls and accentuated the "Phylis" dress with minimal jewelry.
When the Duchess of Cambridge, 33, stepped out in her dress at the State Apartments of St. James's Palace in November 2010, she complemented the outfit with a dainty necklace, her sapphire and diamond engagement ring and black pumps. Jenner completed her look with pointy black heels, a bracelet and a black purse.
The Phylis dress is being sold on Issa London's website for a little over $865, but it may not last long. The site says it has only two sizes left in blue, but other colors like white, pink, green, red and black print are still available.
According to Yahoo!, the department store Harvey Nichols announced in August it was bringing the Phylis dress back after it sold out following Middleton's engagement. The gown was so popular that Issa London's founder and designer, Daniella Issa Helayel, teamed up with Banana Republic in 2013 to make a similar, more-affordable dress. The replica sold for $130.
