Kate Middleton ‘Terrified’ Of Prince William Riding His Motorcycle, Wants To Keep Prince George Away From It
Kate Middleton is getting candid about Prince Williams' love for motorcycles. The 33-year-old mom of two told a fan outside the Dundee Repertory Theatre in Scotland Friday that she's "terrified" every time her husband mounts his bike.
According to E! Online, Middleton and Prince William were greeting people outside the venue for their trip supporting mental health campaigns when 28-year-old Fearghas Simpson asked the Duchess of Cambridge if her husband still likes to take his motorcycle out for a ride.
"He's still riding it," Middleton replied. "It always fills me with horror when he goes out on it. I’m terrified."
She added, "Hopefully, I’m going to keep [Prince George] off it.”
Middleton still has a couple more years until she has to think about Prince George hopping on a motorcycle with his dad. The little boy celebrated his second birthday in July. The Duchess is also mom to Princess Charlotte, who was born five months ago on May 2.
It seems like Middleton's concerns echoes Prince Charles' sentiments towards motorcycles. In 2010, Prince Williams' father told Visor Down he always gets nervous when his sons ride their bikes.
“I always worry about them," he said at the time. "It’s about other cars not being able to see you. I’m always telling my sons that.”
According to the Daily Mail, the last time Prince William was photographed riding his motorcycle was the eve of his 2011 wedding to Middleton. The Duke of Cambridge was briefly forced to stop riding in 2012 after mice in his garage chewed through one of the bike's cables.
