California Hockey Mom Had Sex With Son’s Teammate: Police
A California hockey mom had sex with at least one of her son's old teammates, according to police.
Authorities arrested Kathia Maria Davis, 44, on Wednesday on suspicion of unlawful sex with a minor, the Los Angeles Times reported.
She was released that day on $25,000 bail, the LA Times reported.
The acts occurred in her home in Laguna Nigel, Orange County Sheriff's spokesperson Jim Amormino said, CBS News reported. She would throw parties, sometimes provide alcohol to minors. In one of the cases, the act occurred on a sleepover.
Her son played hockey with Beach City Lightning in Laguna Niguel, but the organization said the boy and his mother had not been involved since 2007, ABC News reported.
Authorities said that some of the other hockey moms had a weird feeling about Davis.
Some mothers on the team did state they had a funny feeling about her, woman's intuition or whatever, Amormino said, ABC News reported. There was a lot of talking about her on the team, but the suspicions turned out to be true.
But not everyone felt that way about Davis.
She's super friendly, really outgoing and nice, neighbor Elizabeth Willey said, NBC LA reported. I've chatted with her a couple of times and I'm shocked to hear that.
Davis is also suspected of having sexual contact with another minor from the hockey team, for which she will be charged with lewd acts with a minor, the LA Times reported.
