Calista Flockhart Remains Silent After Harrison Ford Plane Crash, Forbids Him From Flying Again: Report
“Ally McBeal” star Calista Flockhart has kept vigil at Harrison Ford’s bedside in the wake of the “Star Wars” actor's small plane crash. Now, the actress has forbidden her husband, a longtime pilot, from getting in a plane again, a source told the U.K.’s Daily Mirror via the Inquisitr.
“It is a worry for her and his children that he has this dangerous hobby,” the source told The Mirror. “But they appreciate he loves it. It’s something he is very passionate about. Whether or not he will pilot a plane again remains to be seen but everyone around him certainly hopes he will take a break -- or give it up forever. It is obviously a huge worry.” Ford, 72, “saved lives” when he crashed the aircraft onto a golf course Thursday in Los Angeles. He suffered a broken pelvis, broken ankle and cuts to the forehead.
Flockhart, 50, has reportedly stayed at the hospital since Ford’s accident. Photos of the “Ally McBeal” star show her looking drained as she leaves his bedside. The normally glamorous star was makeup free and looked like she might have been crying, the U.K.’s Daily Mail wrote.
The actress has not issued a statement. “Calista arrived at the ER shortly after Harrison,” a source told People magazine Friday. “She looked concerned and stayed with Harrison until late last night. This morning, she drove [their son] Liam to school and then straight to the hospital. She is still at the hospital now.”
It’s unknown how long Ford will remain in the hospital, but his son, Ben, said he’s every bit the man you think he’d be. “At the hospital. Dad is OK. Battered, but OK! He is every bit the man you would think he is. He is an incredibly strong man,” his son tweeted Thursday evening.
