‘Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’ Much-Awaited Mode Reportedly Unveiling September 30

Following the official unveiling of the campaign gameplay and multiplayer of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” Activision confirmed that the much-awaited game mode would be officially revealed on September 30.

Game developer Treyarch confirmed earlier that fans would finally see the Zombies mode of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” at 10 AM PT or 1 PM ET or 6 PM in the UK on Wednesday. So far, there have not been many details about the Zombies mode of the game. It was previously uncovered through a data mining activity conducted on files for The Red Door, which is the internal alpha of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.”

Based on the previous leak, it appears that the Zombies mode would be set during the Cold War era. Players would be more likely to return to a more grounded setting following the escapades they experienced in the previous installments. Interestingly, since Zombies have insane lore, it would not be surprising to see some kind of continuity in “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.”

Activision revealed the multiplayer mode of “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” earlier in September ahead of the exclusive alpha launch of the game on PlayStation 4. According to the publisher, the game’s alpha as the most downloaded alpha or beta in the console in all “Call of Duty” history.

The publisher is set to launch the “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” beta on October 8. PlayStation 4 customers who pre-ordered the game will get the first access, followed by the general PS4 players on October 10. Other pre-order customers will gain access to the game starting October 15, with the general access commencing on October 17.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” is described as the direct sequel of the original “Call of Duty: Black Ops” game. It is scheduled for release on PC, PS5 and Xbox One X on November 13. The campaign, developed by Raven Software, will allegedly set in the 1980s with players fighting alongside Mason, Woods and Hudson in East Berlin, Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet KGB headquarters and more.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War” will share content with “Call of Duty: Warzone.”
