'Call Of Duty: Ghosts' Trailer Revealed For 'Mayday' Episode, 'Devastation' Release Date Thursday

“Release the Kraken!” On Tuesday, Infinity Ward launched a “Call of Duty: Ghosts” trailer that teased the new “Extinction” level “Mayday,” where players will have a new weapon and face an awesome new monster.

The trailer makes the 2013 title look more like a survival horror, showing a small, unidentified creature stalking a high-tech ghost ship in the South Pacific. Infinity Ward revealed a new weapon will be available – the Ripper, a hybrid device that can be switched between an assault rifle and a sub machine gun. There will also be a “skyscraper-sized Kraken” in the DLC. Better call Jack Sparrow.

“Mayday” is the second episode of “Extinction,” a new 4-player co-op mode which pits players against various types of aliens and monsters in a base-defending survival style map. The four maps are Collision, Unearthed, Ruins and Behemoth. There will be four episodes in “Extinction,” with "Mayday" being part of the “Devastation” expansion pack. Infinity Ward also confirmed the Predator will make an appearance in the expansion pack.

“Devastation” launches April 3 for the Xbox One and Xbox 360 and will cost $15. There is no release date set for the PC or PlayStation. Excited for the expansion pack? Leave a comment or tweet me!
