Camila Mendes, Madelaine Petsch Reveal Which ‘Archie’ Character They Want On ‘Riverdale’

The cast of “Riverdale” recently revealed which characters from the “Archie” comics they want to see in the hit The CW series.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Camila Mendes, who plays the role of Veronica Lodge, said that she wants to see Jellybean in the “Riverdale.” Mendes added that she wants the character to be played by Maisie Williams, but acknowledged that the “Game of Thrones” star may too old for the role.

Madelaine Petsch and Ashleigh Murray both want to see Predator in “Riverdale,” but they know that it’s impossible for this to happen. But since no one could stop them from dreaming, Murray added that she wants Jason Momoa or Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to bring the comic book character to life.

Casey Cott and KJ Apa both want to see Sabrina the Teenage Witch in the series. There are speculations that the role has already been given to Disney star Dove Cameron. But it’s possible that when the cast members spoke with the publication, they were still unaware of the actress’ casting.

On her Instagram account, Cameron also hinted on playing the character since she posted a photo of Sabrina the Teenage Witch straight out of a comic strip. The “Descendants 2” star also told Shine on Media in July that she is more than willing to play the part she’s a huge fan of the character, the “Archie” comic books and has met some of the “Riverdale” cast members.

But even through the three characters haven’t been officially cast in “Riverdale,” fans of the show will get to meet new additions starting next month. Veronica’s dad, Hiram Lodge (Mark Consuelos), will make appearances in multiple episodes. Veronica’s ex-boyfriend, Nick St. Clair (Graham Phillips) will also be featured in at least two installments.

Additionally, Season 1 recurring guest star Molly Ringwald will reprise her role as Archie’s (Apa) mom, Mary Andrews. Betty’s (Lili Reinhart) mom, Alice (Madchen Amick), Jughead’s (Cole Sprouse) dad, FP (Skeet Ulrich), Veronica’s mom, Hermione (Marisol Nichols) and Archie’s dad, Fred (Luke Perry) will all be heavily featured in the series.

“Riverdale” Season 2 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. EDT.
