Camilla, Kate Middleton's 2016 Rift Did Not Happen, Royal Expert Says

Camilla Parker Bowles and Kate Middleton have always shared a warm relationship.

An excerpt from Christopher Andersen's 2016 book "Games of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate, and the Throne" has resurfaced claiming that the Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Cambridge had a rift. Camilla reportedly wanted Prince William and Middleton to split. In fact, she went as far as asking Prince Charles to advice his son to break up with Middleton.

However, according to Siofra Brennan, a journalist for Daily Mail, royal sources have denied such claims. Grant Harrold, former royal butler to the Prince of Wales also thinks that the claims were not true.

"This sounds like a fake story with no basis of truth," Harrold said. "The family I know are very close and all have a good relationship with each other as we have seen in all the joint engagements they do on a regular basis."

The publication noted that Camilla has been friendly to the Duchess of Cambridge. In fact, they are amicable whenever they step out together and they seemed to be enjoying each other companies.

In the book, Andersen claimed that Camilla found Middleton pretty but too lowly to marry a royal. The Duchess of Cornwall allegedly looked down at Prince William's wife.

"Beneath it all, Camilla is a snob. Her family has always moved in royal circles," Camilla's friend said. "It's simply second nature to her. She simply felt Kate and the Middletons were too lowly to marry into the Royal Family."

According to the author, Camilla has loved the limelight and has been consumed with jealousy because Middleton is naturally pretty and young. In addition, the public has immediately warmed up to the Duchess of Cambridge compared to her who was first known as Prince Charles' mistress.

"She wasn't going to have someone just march in and sort of drag the whole thing down," Andersen wrote. "It only makes sense that Camilla resented being eclipsed by a beautiful young woman like Kate Middleton."

Meanwhile, Camilla and Meghan Markle have a great relationship. In fact, they were seen giggling several times. They were also photographed holding hands during Prince Charles' garden party just days after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding.

Prince Harry had also addressed the speculations about his and Prince William's relationship to Camilla. According to him, they have a good relationship. He insisted that Camilla is not a "wicked" stepmom and urged the public to not be sorry for them, but to her, instead.
