Kate Middleton Vs Meghan Markle: Who Visited Most Countries Between 2 Duchesses?
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle both love traveling, but one of them has visited more countries than the other.
The Duchess of Cambridge has toured the globe including exotic locations after marrying Prince William. On the other hand, the Duchess of Sussex has also visited a number of countries since she joined Prince Harry's royal duties following their royal engagement.
According to Kara Godfrey, a journalist for Express, Middleton has traveled to 25 countries already. She also spent years in Jordan as a child when her father worked for British Airways. In fact, she was reportedly devastated that she was not able to accompany her husband when Prince William visited Israel.
"She will be thrilled. She loved it here, she really did. She is very upset that I am coming here without her," Prince William said.
"My wife Catherine is very sorry she cannot be here with me so soon after the birth of our son Louis, but her family remembers very fondly the almost three years she spent here as a child when her father worked for British Airways in Amman," the Duke of Cambridge explained.
Middleton also stayed in Florence, Italy when she was 19. She also traveled to Chile for 10 weeks without Prince William as they haven't known each other at that time yet. The duchess also flew to Dublin, a place the Duke of Cambridge hasn't visited yet following their short split. Middleton will reportedly join Prince William's trip to Canada this month.
On the other hand, Markle has already traveled to 15 countries including Spain, Italy, Greece and Malta. She also visited Mexico where her father lives.
Next month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are bound to fly to Australia for the 2018 Invictus Games. The couple will reportedly stay in a multi-million dollar resort, Villa del Mare. The luxury mansion has six bedrooms, a private butler's residence, wine cellar, gym and infinity pool.
According to Dickie Arbiter, the upcoming trip will be a test for Markle as the couple is expected to have tons of activities.
"She's good at talking to people but it will be a real baptism of fire," Queen Elizabeth II's former spokesman said. "They will have a very demanding schedule. The Duchess will have to get used to local customs with the eyes of the world on her."
