Camilla ‘Not Ready’ To Be Queen Due To Lack Of Royal Engagements?

Camilla was recently accused of not being ready to be the next queen after Prince Charles is crowned as king.

The allegation came from royal fans and Express after they learned that the Duchess of Cornwall is one of the least working royals this year.

According to the Court Circular, Prince Charles’ wife undertook 57 percent of the royal engagements that Queen Elizabeth has undertaken throughout the past nine months. But the monarch is already 93 years old, which means that she has passed on some of her duties to the next generation of royals

As of late, Camilla has only completed a total of 69 royal engagements, and she hasn’t also been visible throughout the past couple of months. The publication claimed that royal fans are baffled to know that Camilla has not attended as many royal engagements as her husband.

Since she will become the future queen or queen consort, it is Camilla’s job to be beside Prince Charles. But the future king has undertaken 62 more royal engagements than his wife.

An anti-monarchy group took the recent royal ranking as an opportunity to criticize Camilla.

“None of the royals work hard, and Camilla is no different. But if she expects to have the status and profile of being Britain’s next Queen then she could at least turn up and do something… Royal engagements typically last just an hour, so by these figures Camilla has done 10 full days of work since January,” a spokesperson for Republic said.

But Charlie Proctor, the editor-in-chief of Royal Central, told The Sun that Camilla will make an excellent queen regardless of what the public says.

“Camilla will make an excellent Queen. She is a hardworking, kind and dedicated member of The Royal Family. The backlash against Camilla is unfair and unfounded… She has an excellent relationship with The Queen, William and Harry and young Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis… But most importantly she has an amazing relationship with Prince Charles. Charles and Camilla will be an excellent King and Queen,” he said.
