Camilla Parker Bowles might have given Meghan Markle a shoutout with her recent gesture.

The Duchess of Cornwall and Duchess of Sussex both own the same DeMellier bag. Just recently, Prince Charles’ wife used her’s in a public outing at Cheltenham Races.

On Wednesday, Camilla arrived with the green handbag that Markle also owned. She carried it to complement her emerald green coat over a polka dot dress and knee-high boots for Ladie’s Day.

Many viewed Camilla’s move as a gesture to support her daughter-in-law. However, People noted that it wasn’t sure if it was a “sartorial show of support or a complete coincidence” but one thing is sure, both royals love the tassled bag.

Markle was seen carrying the same purse in one of her first official engagements as Prince Harry’s royal fiancée. She used it during a walkabout in Cardiff, Wales while wearing a black Stella McCartney coat and jeans by local Welsh brand Hiut Denim.

Meanwhile, a recent report claimed that the Duchess of Cornwall was “very upset“ with Markle for upstaging her vital campaign. The Duchess of Sussex allegedly stole the limelight from Camilla when she released her engagement photos on the same day the future queen was about to deliver her long-planned speech about domestic violence. Markle reportedly insisted that her photos from a theater visit be released on that day and Camilla was “furious.”

“Camilla’s work is very important to her and her decision to highlight the scourge of domestic violence at the 10th ­anniversary of Women of the World was a carefully thought-out plan,” the source told Russell Myers.

“Over the last four years she has worked tirelessly, mostly behind the scenes but to great effect, to use her ­platform and personal experiences to highlight the issue and help sufferers. Of course it was known Harry and Meghan would be doing engagements this week, some privately, but everyone was in agreement that Camilla’s speech should take p­recedence. ­Unfortunately some people had other ideas,” the insider continued.

Last year, there were reports claiming that Camilla was resentful of Markle because the latter had easily entered the royal fold unlike her. The public easily warmed up at Prince Harry’s wife but not to her which could be due to her illicit affair with Prince Charles when he was still married to Princess Diana.
