KEY POINTS

- Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles reschedules their international trip
- Prince William and Kate Middleton accused of snubbing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Queen Elizabeth II rescheduled her forthcoming visits amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The number of individuals affected with coronavirus has continued to rise. A number of movies and events were pushed back because gathering in large crowd has been discouraged. This prompted the Buckingham Palace to take action for the Queen’s safety especially that she has upcoming events to attend to.
“As a sensible precaution and for practical reasons in the current circumstances, changes are being made to The Queen’s diary commitments in the coming weeks,” Buckingham Palace wrote.
“In consultation with the Medical Household and Government, Her Majesty’s forthcoming visits to Cheshire and Camden will be rescheduled. Audiences will continue as usual. Other events will be reviewed on an ongoing basis in line with the appropriate advice.”
Aside from the Queen, Prince Charles also decided to cancel his international tour with wife Camilla Parker Bowles. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall were set to begin their venture on Tuesday. Their now-canceled trip was supposed to include stops in Bosnia and Herzegovia, Jordan and the Republic of Cyprus.
“Owing to the unfolding situation with the coronavirus pandemic, The British Government has asked Their Royal Highnesses to postpone their spring tour to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cyprus and Jordan,” a statement via Us Weekly read.
On Monday, the royal family gathered together for the Commonwealth Service. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who renounced their titles in January returned to the U.K. to join the ceremony.
However, according to reports, the Queen snubbed the pair by dropping them from the main VIP party. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were reportedly told to make their way to their seats at the front of Westminster Abbey and wait along with Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
Prince Harry and Markle were very upset. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attempted to defuse the tension by opting to join the Sussexes and Wessexes, so they didn’t join the Queen’s entrance and waited on their seats, too.
However, Prince William and Middleton were accused of snubbing Prince Harry and Markle because they barely acknowledged the two. Prince William just nod while Middleton didn’t even look at them.
