Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William and Kate Middleton are cordial, but they are in no rush to mend their strained relationship.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been rumored to have had a falling-out. It reportedly started when Prince William advised his younger brother to slow down with his romance with Markle back when they were still dating.
The Duke of Cambridge and Duke of Sussex denied the rumors that they had a feud. However, in their recent reunion during the Commonwealth service, Prince William and Middleton were accused of snubbing Prince Harry and Markle. Royal onlookers felt that the Cambridges were very cold toward the Sussexes because they barely acknowledged the two who renounced their royal titles in January.
A source told Us Weekly that Prince Harry and Markle are not on good terms with Prince William and Middleton. The fab four are cordial and they are reportedly fine with that because they are in no rush to mend their strained relationship.
“Harry misses his brother and Kate, but there’s too much mud under the bridge at this point for any meaningful communication,” the insider said. “They’re cordial, but that’s about as far as it goes.”
The publication noted that the two pairs arrived on the venue separately. Prince William and Middleton talked to Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex when they reached their seats but didn’t do the same to Prince Harry and Markle. There was no interaction between the Cambridges and Sussexes. Also, they didn’t interact when they left the church.
Royal expert Camilla Tominey also shared that based on their lip reading, Prince Harry talked to his wife and said, “He just said ‘Hello Harry’ to me and that was it.” Tominey said that they were not sure if the duke was referring to his brother Prince William or other dignitaries present including Boris Johnson. However, she noted that they lacked “brotherly” interaction when they were in the abbey.
“In the actual abbey there wasn’t much brotherly-ness going on because they didn’t really have much of a conversation going on. It was quite obvious when you were looking,” Tominey said.
