Camilla Parker Bowles’ Rare Photo With Princess Diana, Prince Charles Revisited

Camilla Parker Bowles’ rare photos with Princess Diana and Prince Charles on separate occasions have just been revisited.

Throughout the years, Princess Diana and Camilla have been pitted against each other, not only by royal fans but also in Prince Charles’ heart. But the two women were actually friends before.

In their throwback photo, the women are seen walking outdoors in their winter gear. When Princess Diana and Prince Charles started dating in 1980, they were oftentimes invited as guests at Bolehyde Manor in Wiltshire, the country home that Camilla shared with her ex-husband Andrew Bowles.

Before Princess Diana and Prince Charles’ engagement was announced, Camilla even helped the late Princess of Wales navigate one of her first experiences with the press while at the Ludrow Races. Both women watched Prince Charles competed at the event at that time.

However, Princess Diana and Camilla’s relationship turned sour after the former learned that the latter was having an affair with her husband. Even before Prince William and Prince Harry’s parents tied the knot, Princess Diana knew that Prince Charles’ heart really belonged to Camilla.

In her 1995 interview with Martin Bashir for Panorama, Princess Diana said that she was aware that there were three of them in the marriage that’s why it was crowded. Following their divorce in 1996, Prince Charles and Camilla went on to tie the knot in a civil ceremony in 2005.

Another photo shows Camilla with Prince Charles. In the snap, the couple is standing quite far from each other, and they are also looking in different directions. However, their connection cannot be denied. After dating for a short time, Camilla went on to marry Andrew while Prince Charles was on active duty.

Even though they temporarily went their separate ways, the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall maintained a close friendship with each other. Prince Charles also served as a godfather to Camilla’s eldest child Tom, who was born in 1974.

After Camilla’s daughter, Laura was born, Prince Charles was photographed taking an innocent stroll with Camilla. This sparked rumors that they have gotten back together.
