Camilla Parker Bowles Reportedly Resentful Of Meghan Markle For This Reason

Camilla Parker Bowles and Meghan Markle appear friendly when they are together but some claim that the former is resentful of the latter.

One netizen shared a clip on Twitter explaining why the Duchess of Cornwall is resentful of the Duchess of Sussex. Camilla allegedly doesn’t like how Markle easily entered the royal fold.

The public was initially not warm to Camilla due to her illicit affair with Prince Charles while he was still married to Princess Diana. The Duchess of Cornwall had to fight her way to receive the royal family’s acceptance. She couldn’t understand how easily Markle got their approval.

It is important to note that Markle didn’t have an affair with a married future king. She’s an American divorcee who caught the eye of a younger royal. Meanwhile, Queen Elizabeth II reportedly made Camilla’s life like hell when she was still dating Prince Charles.

In Tom Bower’s book “Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles,” the author wrote that there was a cold war among the members of the royal family due to the Prince of Wales’ relationship with Camilla. At one point, the Queen didn’t want to see Camilla in any royal function because she “actively disapproved” the duchess.

Although everything is fine now, it was a rough ride back then for Camilla. A source claimed that Camilla intends to obstruct Markle’s path in any way she can. The Duchess of Cornwall allegedly finds it unfair for a woman who isn’t even British to have it so easy.

Prior to Markle’s arrival in the royal family, there were also reports that Camilla felt the same way toward Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton. According to royal author Christopher Andersen, in his book "Game of Crowns: Elizabeth, Camilla, Kate and the Throne," Camilla and Middleton’s relationship didn’t start out so well.

Camilla was reportedly jealous because the Duchess of Cambridge was well-liked by the public and this irked the Duchess of Cornwall. Camilla reportedly wanted Prince William and Middleton to split.

Camilla went to great lengths and even asked Prince Charles to advise his son to break up with Middleton when the couple started going out. Fortunately, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are still together and Camilla and Kate’s relationship has since improved.
