Camilla Parker Bowles was stunning in her Boucheron tiara.

The Duchess of Cornwall looked every inch of a royal when she arrived at the Queen’s annual Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday. Camilla was very elegant in her Bruce Oldfield gown. She also wore the Greville tiara made by Boucheron.

Camilla was spotted greeting the foreign ambassadors at the formal event. She was joined by Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton and the Queen for the gathering.

According to Express, the attendees had to follow the strict “white tie and decorations” dress code. This means that gentlemen should wear tailcoats and ladies should don full-length gowns.

The Duchess of Cambridge and the monarch were as stunning as Camilla at the event. Middleton and Queen Elizabeth also wore dazzling headpieces when they graced the reception. Middleton opted for Princess Diana’s Lover’s Knot tiara while Her Majesty rocked her Ireland tiara.

According to a recent report, Queen Elizabeth II is already grooming Camilla to be the next queen consort. This is evident in the duchess’ workload.

In the past years, Camilla has been taking fewer engagements. In 2017, she attended 109 engagements. However, the figure has decreased in the succeeding years with only 98 in 2018 and 79 so far this year. Camilla is reportedly already preparing for the day when her husband Prince Charles will be crowned king.

Although Camilla is taking fewer engagements, she is filling bigger roles. Last week, she stepped in for Queen Elizabeth II by meeting Donald Trump and Melania Trump ahead of the NATO reception. The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall welcomed the POTUS and FLOTUS in their home, Clarence House, for an afternoon tea.

In related news, Camilla will be spending Christmas with the royals at Sandringham. However, she will leave the Queen early because she will also be spending the holidays with her own family.
