Prince William and Kate laughed when they heard a parenting joke at one event they attended.

In November, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out together to attend the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium. The event was broadcasted on TV on Tuesday.

Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett hosted the show. In one scene, Ranganathan, who is also a father of three, shared a parenting joke. He said that every morning when his kids run into their bedroom, he would ask his wife, “Why did we do this?” Prince William and Middleton laughed and nod after hearing it, Hello! reported.

Meanwhile, according to Mirror, not everyone was entertained with the comedians hosting the event. The viewers were reportedly disappointed with Ranganathan and Beckett for hosting the show for the first time. Meanwhile, they praised the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for “having to force laughter” as Ranganathan poked fun at their children.

Although Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were not present at the evening out, Middleton told Petula Clark that their children were excited about where they were going, particularly the dancing and singing part. In fact, they would love to join their parents. However, Middleton turned them down and said “not on a school night.”

A host of talents were present at the action-packed show to perform including “Britain’s Got Talent” winner Colin Thackery. Sir Rod Steward was also set to sing at the event, but he was forced to pull out due to a throat infection. Lewis Capaldi, Mabel, Robbie Williams and the cast of “Come From Away” were also in attendance.

In related news, Middleton was recently spotted with her youngest son, Prince Louis, at the Kensington Palace grounds. Nola Marianna shared photos of her having afternoon tea at the Kensington Palace Pavilion.

According to the journalist, she saw the duchess, Prince Louis, and their pet dog Lupo strolling in the park. However, she did not take photos of them to give the family their privacy. She added that Prince William and Middleton’s youngest child was very cute.
