Camilla Revamped Her Public Image To Become More Popular By Doing This
Camilla Parker Bowles has been successful when it comes to revamping her public image and has become more popular in recent years.
Several years ago, Camilla was dubbed as “Britain’s most hated woman” due to her affair with Prince Charles while the future King was still married to Princess Diana.
But ever since she became an official member of the royal family after marrying the future King in a civil ceremony, Camilla has vowed to change the public’s perception of her.
One of the things she did for Prince Charles was bringing out his fun side. Camilla’s former boyfriend Kevin Burke once described the Duchess of Cornwall as never tongue-tied or shy. She also always has something amusing to say, and her enthusiasm is contagious.
Robert Jobson, the author of “Charles at 70,” said that Prince Charles has become smiley and he’s always laughing because of Camilla. One of the Duchess’ friends also said that Camilla comes across as genuine because she is 100 percent sure of who she is.
“She had no side, no complexity. She is warm, witty, endlessly cheerful, and has the ability to laugh at everything and tease Charles out of his Eeyore grumpiness,” her friend said.
And when it comes to her royal duties, Camilla has also performed well in this regard. She is currently the patron or the president of approximately 90 charities. She carried out over 200 royal engagements last year, which includes 70 overseas tours.
Lynn Faulds Wood, a British television personality, recently praised Camilla for bringing the causes she champions to the people’s attention. But other than her highly-publicized engagements, the future Queen Consort has also followed in Princess Diana’s footsteps of working behind the scenes.
Wood said that Camilla pays secret visits that don’t garner publicity and she doesn’t necessarily mind it because she cares about her work.
Veteran royal reporter Jennie Bond also said that journalists and photographers love Camilla’s attitude that’s why they like working with her.
