A car came crashing into a daycare center in Pennsylvania on Thursday afternoon leaving four children injured, police said. The children were between the ages of three to four years.

The incident happened at the Children of America Educational Childcare center located at Upper Southampton Township, Bucks County. The injured children were hospitalized and one of them was listed in critical condition, authorities said in a statement. Police didn’t disclose the conditions of the other children.

At least 79 children were present at the daycare and 17 were there in the room. Majority of them were napping at the time of the crash, police said.

An unidentified female driver from Philadelphia was behind the wheels when the BMW car hit the front window, came crashing inside, and ended up resting against a wall. She was transported to a hospital after sustaining minor injuries. She was reportedly visiting the daycare for a business-related matter.

All of the children were accounted for and picked up by their parents, ABC 6 reported.

Police were investigating the reason behind the crash.

Earlier this month, a car crashed into a home in Arizona, leaving two persons injured. They were reportedly trying to escape law enforcement before the collision. No other injuries were reported.
