Career fair to reveal jobs on offer
Queensland University of Technology (QUT) will be organizing a career fair on March 29.
More than 120 organisations will outline their graduate programs and other employment opportunities at the free event to be held from 10am-2pm at Main Drive, Gardens Point.
Careers officer Catherine Garino said the 2010 Gardens Point Careers Fair was open to QUT students from all campuses and was a great opportunity for students to network with employers.
Ms Garino said many companies recruited for their graduate programs from late March.
The careers fair is a chance for final-year students to find out about application processes and closing dates, she said.
But it's also a good idea for all students to come and find out which companies recruit from their discipline and what vacation employment and work experience opportunities are available.''
Organisations to attend the fair include the Australian Secret Intelligence Service, the Commonwealth Bank, Australian Migration and Visa Lawyers, Laing O'Rourke, BHP Billiton, the Defence Graduate Program, Rio Tinto and the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
