Carmen Electra Walked In On Simon Cowell With Mistress Lauren Silverman While They Were Dating

Carmen Electra caught Simon Cowell with mistress Lauren Silverman while they were still dating, allegedly causing the pair to split. The British television producer told Ryan Seacrest back in December that he and Electra were involved, saying, “She's not my girlfriend. We're people who date. She's adorable, isn't she?”

Electra, 41, was a guest judge on the "X Factor," and Cowell, 53, is a producer and judge on the hit talent show. While they were together, she caught him with Silverman.

“Carmen was at Simon’s house in L.A., when she literally busted him with Lauren,” a source told E!, adding that though “Simon called her a friend … there was nothing platonic about what was going on, if you know what I mean.”

Cowell is now expecting a child with the New York socialite, who is 17 years his junior. What was most surprising about the scenario is that she is still married to Andrew Silverman, a close friend of the television personality.

"She's around 10 weeks along. And that's only part of the story,” a source told Us Weekly last month. “Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while. As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."

Silverman and her husband are now in the midst of a divorce. And though Electra may have walked out on Cowell after she witnessed him cheating on her, she had nothing but nice words for him at the 2013 Do Something Awards.

“What I witnessed working with him on Britain’s Got Talent and coming to see him during X Factor is that the people he truly believes in, he stands up for them and supports them,” she said. “So I obviously think that his child will be very well taken care [of] and very, very loved.”
