Twitter users flocked to the microblogging and social-media site Sunday to determine whether Tot Mom Casey Anthony was pregnant with her second child. The rumor came on the heels of the verdict in the George Zimmerman murder trial, another high-profile murder trial in Florida.

The 29-year-old former neighborhood watchman was charged with second-degree murder and manslaughter for killing the unarmed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in February of last year, but was found not guilty on both counts Saturday night, which greatly upset Martin supporters. The reaction was similar to the way much of the nation was shocked when Anthony, 27, was found not guilty in 2011 of first-degree murder and aggravated manslaughter in the death of her daughter Caylee.

Anthony had been charged in the case after her daughter was discovered dead in 2008. Even though the single mother lied to authorities numerous times, the prosecution was unable to persuade the jury to convict her of more serious crimes.

But Anthony’s rumored pregnancy and Zimmerman’s acquittal weren’t the only things was on tongues of Twitter users Sunday, as “Glee” heartthrob Cory Monteith was found dead Saturday in his hotel room in Vancouver, British Columbia. The high activity on the social-media site helped spread the rumor about Anthony’s purported pregnancy.

Citing the National Enquirer, the Daily Mail suggested Tot Mom was pregnant in March, but the rumor was not confirmed by Anthony: “She just said that she fell in love with a very wealthy man while she’s been in hiding. Casey said he’s taking care of her financially and he’s so obsessed with her that he’ll do anything for her,” an unnamed source told the British publication.
