Cassie Randolph's Temporary Restraining Order Against Colton Underwood Gets Extended
KEY POINTS
- Cassie Randolph’s restraining order against Colton Underwood has been extended until Nov. 6
- She recently filed a police report against Underwood for allegedly planting a tracking device on her car
- Her brother found the tracker taped to the bottom of her car's back bumper
Cassie Randolph's temporary restraining order against former boyfriend Colton Underwood has been extended until their next hearing, which is scheduled for Nov. 6.
Randolph obtained a temporary restraining order against Underwood last month after she filed documents claiming he has been stalking and harassing her. She had also accused him of sending concerning text messages and showing up at her apartment as well as her parents’ house unannounced.
On Tuesday, a judge granted Randolph’s request for an extension of the restraining order, which will require Underwood to stay 100 yards away from her, Entertainment Tonight reported.
During the hearing, lawyers for the reality stars told the judge that Underwood and Randolph were trying to work through their problems amicably.
Randolph's request for an extension of the restraining order comes just a day after she filed a police report against Underwood for allegedly planting a tracking device in her car after they broke up in May.
TMZ reported that Randolph's brother found the tracking device taped to the bottom of her car's back bumper.
The speech pathologist made the allegations in her request for a restraining order back in September, Us Weekly reported.
“It was her intention to first try and work through this process privately in a manner that gives both her and Colton safety, security and respect,” Randolph’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, told Us Weekly. “We are confident this is possible.”
Underwood and Randolph met on ABC dating reality show “The Bachelor.” The former football player picked Randolph at the end of “The Bachelor” Season 23 last year, but the two never got engaged.
Randolph's accusations against Underwood came after they filmed together for a reality show that focuses on their lives post-breakup.
“They were in production all summer. However, they both had since pulled out,” an unnamed source told Us Weekly.
Another anonymous source said that Underwood was shocked and blindsided by his ex-girlfriend filing a restraining order against him.
“Cassie and Colton haven’t spoken for a month. He’s been in Colorado,” the insider said. “All of this is a surprise, and he feels blindsided.”
