Catwoman Actresses Michelle Pfeiffer, Anne Hathaway React To Zoë Kravitz’s ‘Batman’ Role

Zoë Kravitz is getting high-fives from her predecessors. The actress has been cast as Catwoman/Selina Kyle in director Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” and some famous faces are congratulating her.
Michelle Pfeiffer, who played Catwoman in 1992’s “Batman Returns,” sounded thrilled about the news. “I’m so excited,” the actress told Michael Strahan on Good Morning America on Tuesday.
She also had some key advice for Kravitz: “Make sure whilst designing the costume they consider how you'll go to the bathroom,” Pfeiffer said. “Minor detail, but an important one.”

Of course, Kravitz isn’t the first actress Pfeiffer has watched take over the role. Anne Hathaway played Selina in the critically acclaimed “Dark Knight Rises” in 2012. She also sounded overjoyed for Kravitz. She reached out to the “Big Little Lies” actress on Instagram, telling her to “enjoy the ride.”
More recently, Catwoman has been seen on the small screen. Camren Bicondova played Selina Kyle through four seasons of “Gotham,” and she took to Twitter to share her excitement for Kravitz’s performance.
And on a completely different note...

This is gonna be gooooooood 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
It isn’t just the former Catwomen who are sending her love. Aquaman star Jason Momoa, who also happens to be Kravitz’s stepdad, shared his support. Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot commented on the post with a dancing woman emoji and a raised hands emoji.
Kravitz will star opposite Robert Pattinson, who will play Bruce Wayne, in “The Batman.” The film is set to be released June 25, 2021. Filming is expected to start within the next few months.
