CBS’ ‘Blood & Treasure’ Series Premiere: How You Know The Cast
CBS is taking viewers on an adventure this spring and summer with its new series, “Blood & Treasure,” which premieres tonight with a two-hour episode.
The show follows an antiquities expert and a top-notch art thief as they work together to find a ruthless terrorist who’s funding his attacks with stolen treasure. Before watching their quest unfold, get to know the stars behind the new characters.
Meet the “Blood & Treasure” cast right here:
Matt Barr (Danny McNamara)
After creeping out WB/CW fans as Psycho Derek on “One Tree Hill” in 2006 and 2007, Barr moved on to CBS’ one-season series, “Harper’s Island,” in 2009. From there, it was back to the CW for the short-lived (but much-loved) cheerleading series, “Hellcats,” with Aly Michalka and Ashley Tisdale.
Most recently, Barr starred on The CW’s military series, “Valor,” which aired for one season and ended last year.
Sofia Pernas (Lexi Vaziri)
The actress went from being on a soap opera — “The Young and the Restless” — in 2015 and 2016 to being on a telenovela — “Jane the Virgin” — in 2016 and 2017. She also worked on NBC’s “The Brave” as Hannah Rivera during its one-season run last year.
Michael James Shaw (Aiden Shaw)
CBS fans will likely remember Shaw from his time as Agent Mike in the TV adaptation of “Limitless,” which ran for 22 episodes on the network from 2015 to 2016. He also played Corvus Glaive in “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.”
Katia Winter (Gwen Karlsson)
Aside from having small roles on “NCIS” and “Legends of Tomorrow,” Winter also had a nine-episode arc on “Dexter” and starred as Katrina Crane on “Sleepy Hollow” for a few years.
Antonio Cupo (Captain Elio Fabi)
In the world of TV shows, Cupo’s best known for his roles on “Mystery Island,” as Antonio Principato, and “Bomb Girls,” as Marco Moretti. But a lot of TV movie fans will likely recognize the actor because he’s starred in a few flicks for Hallmark Channel and Lifetime, including “Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade” with Autumn Reeser and “For Better or for Worse” with Lisa Whelchel.
James Callis (Simon Hardwick)
Since 1996, Callis has worked on quite a few shows. He’s been on “Soldier Soldier,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Eureka,” “12 Monkeys” and more. He’s also been in a bunch of movies, including those in the “Bridget Jones” franchise.
Oded Fehr (Karim Farouk)
As someone who’s been in the “Mummy” movies, a 2001 flick called “Texas Rangers” and the “Resident Evil” franchise, “Blood & Treasure” seems like it’s a perfect fit for Fehr. Aside from those projects, he was also in the “Deuce Bigalow” movies and shows like “Jane by Design,” “Covert Affairs,” “Stitchers” and “The Blacklist.”
Alicia Coppola (Dr. Ana Castillo)
The actress got her first real start on the soap opera “Another World” as Lorna Devon from 1991 to 1993. From there, she had guest roles on shows like “NYPD Blue,” “Touched by an Angel” and “Chicago Hope.” Her first few major roles arrived in the late-1990s/early-2000s. She was on “Trinity,” “Cold Feet” and TNT’s “Bull.”
She continued to have some smaller TV roles after that before landing the role of Mimi Clark on “Jericho” in 2006. Most recently, she played Dr. Meredith Gates on “The Young and the Restless” and Meghan Conway on “Empire.”
Mark Gagliardi (Father Chuck)
He’s had small roles on shows like “According to Jim,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “The L.A. Complex,” “I’m in the Band” and “Austin & Ally.” Gagliardi’s also done quite a bit of voice work on programs like “The Venture Bros.” and “DC Super Friends.”
“Blood & Treasure” Season 1 premieres on CBS with a two-hour episode on Tuesday at 9 p.m. EDT.
