CBS’ ‘The Code’ Series Premiere: Here’s How You Know The Cast
CBS is giving viewers a look at the personal and professional lives of attorneys working in the Marines with its new series, “The Code.”
Before the military drama debuts tonight, get to know the cast a little bit better.
Luke Mitchell (Captain John “Abe” Abraham)
The Australian actor started out on the soap operas “Neighbours” and “Home and Away,” as well as the family series, “H2O: Just Add Water,” before moving to the United States and starring in the short-lived CW sci-fi drama, “The Tomorrow People.” Most recently, Mitchell played Lincoln Campbell on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” and Roman on NBC’s “Blindspot.”
Anna Wood (Captain Maya Dobbins)
In 2013, after a few TV guest star roles, Wood got a gig on NBC’s one-season series, “Deception,” with Meagan Good and Laz Alonso. The following year, she starred with Cam Gigandet in the short-lived crime drama, “Reckless.”
After a few episodes of “Madam Secretary,” “The Following” and “The Good Wife,” she landed her most recent role of The Woman in Red on “Falling Water.”
Ato Essandoh (Major Trey Ferry)
“The Code” viewers might recognize Essandoh from a bunch of different projects, including “Django Unchained,” BBC America’s “Copper,” NBC’s “Believe,” HBO’s “Vinyl,” CBS’ “Blue Bloods,” Netflix’s “Altered Carbon,” CBS’ “Elementary” and NBC’s “Chicago Med.”
Phillipa Soo (Lieutenant Harper Li)
Aside from playing Lexi on the fan-favorite NBC musical series, “Smash,” Soo also originated the role of Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton in the hit Broadway musical, “Hamilton.”
Dana Delany (Colonel Glenn Turnbull)
The actress is best known for her late-1980s series, “China Beach,” as well as for her time on Wisteria Lane aka “Desperate Housewives.” Delany was also the voice of Lois Lane on the 1996 “Superman” animated series and some of its spinoff shows. She starred as Megan Hunt on ABC’s “Body of Proof” from 2011 to 2013 and, most recently, played Crystal Harris on Amazon’s “Hand of God.”
Raffi Barsoumian (Warrant Officer Rami Ahmadi)
In 2014, Barsoumian played Markos on “The Vampire Diaries” for a few episodes, and he most recently worked on “Shameless” in the role of Bahir.
