FX’s ‘What We Do In The Shadows’ Series Premiere: Meet The Cast

Vampires are heading to FX Wednesday night with the premiere of “What We Do in the Shadows.”

The comedy-horror mockumentary, which was created by Jemaine Clement and is based on his and Taika Waititi’s 2014 film of the same name, follows a group of vampires who have lived together for over 100 years in Staten Island.

Before catching the series premiere tonight, check out the stars who make up the “What We Do in the Shadows” cast:

Matt Berry (Laszlo)

Most recently, Berry voiced Prince Merkimer in Netflix’s “Disenchantment” series and played Policeman Bobby in the 2018 “Christopher Robin” movie. He also co-created and starred on the British sitcom, “Toast of London.”

Kayvan Novak (Nandor)

Aside from co-creating and starring on the British comedy shows, “Fonejacker” and “Facejacker,” Novak also worked on the 2011 series, “Sirens,” and had a voice role on “Thunderbirds Are Go.” He’s also been voicing characters on “Danger Mouse” sine 2015.

Natasia Demtriou (Nadja)

She starred on the 2016 web series, “Year Friends,” as Tash and played Sophie on the British sitcom, “Stath Lets Flats,” last year, which was co-created by her brother, Jamie Demetriou.

Harvey Guillen (Guillermo)

In 2010, the actor worked opposite Nikki Blonsky and Gina Torres in ABC Family’s (now Freeform) one-season series, “Huge.” Guillen had some guest-starring roles on shows like, “Dog with a Blog,” “Raising Hope” and “The First Family” and an arc on “The Thundermans,” which lasted through 2018, before landing the role of George Reyes on MTV’s Victoria Justice-led show, “Eye Candy,” which lasted for one season in 2015.

Most recently, he played Benedict Pickwick on “The Magicians” and starred in “Status Update” with Ross Lynch and Olivia Holt.

Mark Proksch (Colin Robinson)

Viewers might recognize Proksch from his role as Nate on “The Office” or from seeing him pop up on shows like, “New Girl,” “Portlandia” and “Modern Family.” He also worked on Fox’s “Son of Zorn,” AMC’s “Better Call Saul” and Adult Swim’s “Dream Corp LLC.”

Beanie Feldstein (Jenna)

The actress really kicked off her career in 2015 with a role in the teen comedy, “Fan Girl,” which aired on ABC Family and also starred Kiernan Shipka. After that, she worked on “Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising” in 2016, “The Female Brain” and the Oscar-nominated “Lady Bird” in 2017.

Season 1 of “What We Do in the Shadows” starts on FX on Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT.
