NBC’s ‘The Village’ Series Premiere: Here’s How You Know The Cast
Another emotional drama’s joining the NBC lineup with the premiere of “The Village” Tuesday night.
“[The show] follows an incredible group of people dwelling in the same Brooklyn apartment building,” according to the synopsis. “While these characters are not related by blood, they have become an unlikely family. As each resident grapples with their own personal struggle, their neighbors come together to support them and the show gives true meaning to the phrase ‘family is where you find it.’”
While the series is new, viewers will likely already know the cast of NBC’s “The Village.” Here’s where fans might’ve seen them all before:
Michaela McManus (Sarah)
McManus joined “One Tree Hill” in its fifth season, where she played Lindsey Strauss for close to 20 episodes. Later, she starred as Kim Greylek on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” Jules on “The Vampire Diaries,” Grace Kim on “Aquarius” and Alana Hayes on “SEAL Team.”
Jerod Haynes (Ben)
While Haynes’ role on “The Village” will be his first series regular gig, he had guest roles on shows like “Chicago Med,” “Crisis,” “Empire” and “Sense8.” He also played Tommy in the 2016 flick, “Southside with You.”
Lorraine Toussaint (Patricia)
She starred as Rene Jackson on “Any Day Now” from 1998 to 2002, Kate Perry on “Saving Grace” from 2007 to 2010, Donna Rosewood on “Rosewood,” Dana Adams on “The Fosters,” Cressida on “Into the Badlands” and more.
Warren Christie (Nick)
Just in the last 10 years, Christie could be seen on quite a few TV shows, including “True Justice,” “Alphas,” “Chicago Fire,” “Motive,” “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” and “The Resident.”
Frankie Faison (Ron)
With onscreen credits dating back to the 1970s, “The Village” viewers have likely seen Faison in multiple projects. He’s starred in movies and shows like “True Colors,” “Prey,” “Down to Earth,” “The Wire,” “One Life to Live,” “Banshee” and “Grey’s Anatomy.”
Daren Kagasoff (Gabe)
Fans might recognize Kagasoff from his time portraying Ricky Underwood on ABC Family’s (now Freeform) long-running drama, “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” Most recently, he played “Hunter” on Fox’s short-lived series, “Red Band Society,” and had a guest role on “S.W.A.T.”
Dominic Chianese (Enzo)
After playing Alexei Vartova on the ABC soap opera “Ryan’s Hope,” Chianese moved on to projects like “The Sopranos,” where he starred as Junior Soprano, “Boardwalk Empire” and “The Good Wife.”
Moran Atias (Ava)
She portrayed Inez on Starz’s 2008 TV show spinoff of the 2004 film, “Crash,” and later played Leila on “Tyrant,” Sidra on “24: Legacy” and Renata Morali on “The Resident.”
Grace Van Dien (Katie)
The actress starred in the first two seasons of Netflix’s teen boarding school drama, “Greenhouse Academy,” as Brooke Osmond, but left the role behind to take on this new project.
