Chadbourne elects Giaccia as new managing partner
Global law firm Chadbourne & Parke has elected Andrew A. Giaccia as its new managing partner.
Giaccia replaces Charles O'Neill who has led the firm for the past 13 years.
Giaccia, 51, has served as the managing partner of the firm's Washington, D.C. office for ten years and for five of those years he also served as executive partner of the firm. He assumed the new role as the managing partner of Chadbourne on December 1.
Giaccia, who is a law graduate from from Georgetown University Law Center, said he will work hard to sustain the impressive record of growth and international recognition the firm has experienced under his (O'Neill's) guidance.
Under O'Neill's management, the firm expanded aggressively, opening international offices in Warsaw, Kazakhstan, Dubai and Mexico City. Under his stewardship, the firm also grew inorganically, absorbing offices from troubled or dissolving law firms.
O'Neill, who will continue to remain an active partner of the firm, said he has the utmost confidence in his (Giaccia's) leadership ability.
