‘The Challenge Bloodlines’ Star Cara Maria Admits To Cheating On Boyfriend Abram On MTV
Wednesday’s installment of MTV’s “The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines” showed veteran competitor Cara Maria Sorbello getting awfully close with series newcomer Thomas. After several of her cast mates commented on their flirtations on air, some even alluding to the idea they were intimate, Cara Maria is now speaking out about the rumors.
In episode 2 of “Bloodlines,” contestant Johnny Bananas captured footage of Cara Maria and Thomas getting cozy in the backseat of their challenge bus. In a confessional, Thomas joked they were playing the game rock, paper scissors. Cara Maria, on the other hand, said she was simply flirting her way to the final, despite having boyfriend Abram Boise at home. Following the conclusion of the episode, Cara Maria took to Instagram to share her side of the story.
“Bottom line: Tom and I made out only twice and it all happened in one very drunken day off,” Cara Maria explained, revealing she had yet to watch the latest episode. “Regardless: despite whatever was happening w my relationship at the time… I was still in a relationship. I made a bad decision. Please learn from my choice and never do this to someone u love.”
Cara Maria shared more details about the incident on Twitter Thursday.
Cara Maria says she feels guilty for hurting Abram and Thomas’ unnamed girlfriend and that her actions do not reflect the girl she "was raised to be.” “I have hurt someone I truly love,” she wrote. “I hurt my family and his family. I caused pain to the woman Tom was with. I have so much regret and shame I can’t begin to explain.”
The “Challenge” veteran concluded her statement by directing a heartfelt message to Abram. “My heart is yours,” she wrote. “No matter what we do or we say to each other I always find peace in your arms. I could never apologize enough. I love you. I am truly sorry.” Abram not has publicly responded to Cara Maria’s comments.
While Abram is not currently starring on “The Challenge: Bloodlines,” the trailer, posted below, suggests he will make an appearance later on in the season.
“I will flirt my little a-- off and make sure that I stay in this game,” Cara Maria says in the promo. After she is seen kissing Abram, he makes it clear he’s not a fan of her flirtations.
“You wanna tell me you love me. P.S. I’ve been f---ing other dudes,” he says.
“The Challenge: Battle of the Bloodlines” airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on MTV.
