Charles Barkley doesn't care what anyone says--he is not a fan of "Space Jam 2."

The retired NBA player made his feelings very clear regarding a sequel to the 90's classic on Monday when Entertainment Tonight caught up with him at the 2019 NBA Awards.

When ET's Deidre Bahar asked his opinion about "Space Jam 2" and if he had warmed up to the idea of a reboot, Barkley answered with a firm, "Not at all."

After being informed that "Black Panther" and "Creed" director Ryan Coogler was now attached to the project, the 56-year-old bluntly responded, "Well, listen, I don’t care. 'Space Jam 1' was amazing. We don’t need 2."

This isn't the first time Barkley has expressed his disinterest in the forthcoming sequel to his 1996 cult classic. At last year's NBA Awards, ET asked him if he was down for "Space Jam 2," which he simply replied, "No."

“Space Jam 1 was a classic,” he explained. “I don’t like when people try to imitate something that was already good.”

The original "Space Jam" chronicled the fictional story of what happened between Michael Jordan's comeback in 1995 to his retirement from the NBA in 2013. Jordan enlists help from Looney Tunes characters to beat a team of aliens who have stolen talent from NBA players, one being Barkley.

Lebron James is set to star in "Space Jam 2", along with many other notable NBA and WNBA players rumored to join the cast. Aside from that, there aren't many details available regarding the long-awaited sequel. The movie's IMDB page only vaguely describes the storyline as, "NBA superstar LeBron James teams up with Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes."

"Space Jam 2" is scheduled to be released July 16, 2021.
