Moreover, she was featured in a Super Bowl commercial.

From doing dance videos and daily choreography content, D’Amelio’s followers on TikTok skyrocketed to at least 99 million, per Vanity Fair. The surge in followers is impressive considering she started with less than a million followers in August 2019. She was a former member of Hype House doing TikTok content and her ex-boyfriend Chase Hudson is also famous on the social media platform.

The Norwalk, Connecticut native was able to leverage her popularity on TikTok to fatten her bank accounts. She collaborated with her sister, Dixie D’Amelio, who is equally famous on her own with around 32 million followers, to create content for brands such as Morphe.

Charli D’Amelio’s estimated earnings per video is at least $100,000, a report from Cosmopolitan revealed. Aside from TikTok money, she also gets some revenues from Youtube where she also uploads her videos. With her new net worth, she was able to move to Los Angeles with her sister to become full-time content creators. Despite such huge income off online videos, the D’Amelio sisters are still not the highest paid stars on TikTok. The throne belongs to Addison Rae Easterling, who has reportedly raked in $5 million in just one year.

The rise of social media stars is not without some form of controversy. Recently, Charli D’Amelio and her family started a Youtube series called “Dinner With the D’Amelios.” However, the first video drew some serious backlash from fans after the TikTok star was shown gagging over the food she tasted. She lost about a million followers on TikTok as a consequence.

The sisters then uploaded separate videos explaining what went down but apparently damage has been done. It remains to be seen if this will only serve as a temporary setback for D’Amelio, or if it will have any effect on her popularity and earnings moving forward.
