“Charmed” alum Shannen Doherty recently showed off her new hair, two months after announcing that she is finally on remission.
On her Instagram account, the actress shared a photo of herself with husband Kurt Iswarienko, and it’s obvious that both of them have black curly hair. On her caption, Doherty even managed to joke about her and her beau turning into twins, in the snap taken in Tulum, Mexico.

In another post, Doherty shared a picture with a dog named Sophia that she met during her recent trip. In the photo, Doherty’s forehead is sweetly resting on Sophia’s snout.
According to the Huffington Post, Doherty was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. In April, she posted another photo on Instagram where she announced that the day has finally come and she can shout to the world that she’s cancer-free. However, the actress also acknowledged the fact that it’s possible that she will be re-diagnosed with the illness again. In relation to this, Doherty revealed at that time that she’s considering reconstruction.
The next five years are crucial for the actress so she is also thinking about taking certain types of medication. Unfortunately, there could be some side effects, and Doherty admitted that she’s also worried about all of those.
While speaking with People two years ago, Doherty detailed what it’s like to suffer from the cancer. “Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment. I continue to eat right, exercise and stay positive about my life. I am thankful to my family, friends and doctors for their support, and, of course, my fans who have stood by me,” she said.
Prior to her interview, TMZ reported that Doherty filed a case against her former business manager for failing to pay her insurance premiums. The publication also obtained a copy of the legal documents where Doherty claimed that she discovered she had invasive breast cancer and was informed by her doctors that it has already spread while she wasn’t insured. Less than a year later, Doherty received a settlement in the $15 million lawsuit.
