Cheryl Cole's Christmas blues

Cheryl Cole has decided to spend the Christmas holidays with her family. This has left her friend and suitor Derek Hough of the Dancing With The Stars feeling a bit low and abandoned. To persuade her to join him for the New Year he has gifted her with a pair of diamond earrings.

Cheryl on her part wants to be with her family in New Castle England, to bring in some Christmas cheer for her in a year which saw her go through a public divorce and a near fatal bout of malaria.

There are reports that Cheryl, 27, will be moving to Los Angeles to pursue her career further. She sees Christmas as one of her last opportunities to spend time with her family before relocating and wants to take maximum advantage of the holidays.

The Sun reports that a Christmas greeting from her ex, Ashley Cole reduced her to tears, clearly showing that she is in a vulnerable state. The Girls Aloud singer, who divorced the Chelsea footballer in September, is believed to have been especially touched by the thoughtful greeting as she experiences her first Christmas as a divorcee.

Her friends in the business on their part are doing everything to make things easier for her. It is reported that her close friend – Black Eyed Peas star, Will.i.am, is planning a huge party to welcome her. Who better to cut loose with than the people closest to her? She trusts Will.i.am completely and feels so relaxed in his company, reports Daily Mirror citing a source.

Bringing some more Christmas cheer for her are the sales figures of her autobiography, Through My Eyes. It sold 15,000 copies in just six hours reports the Daily Star.
