Following Bennington’s death on Thursday, July 20, “Dr. Ken” star Jeong tweeted his condolences to the singer’s family. Jeong said that he was shocked and heartbroken over the news.
Meanwhile, Bennington, 41, was found dead just after 9 a.m. at a private residence at the Palo Verdes Estates. On Friday, the cause of his death was ruled suicide by hanging. Bennington’s bandmate, Mike Shinoda, confirmed the news via Twitter. It was also announced that Linkin Park’s upcoming concerts have been canceled until further notice.
In other news, a few hours after Bennington’s death, his wife, Talinda Bentley, was accused of posting telling tweets that could implicate her in the singer’s death. Bentley allegedly wrote that she was the one who encouraged Bennington to kill himself because she told him that no one cared. Bentley was quick to clarify that she wasn’t the one who posted the tweet despite her account being used. She added that someone must have hacked into her Twitter account since it has also happened in the past.
In a follow-up “fake” tweet, Bentley said that she’s been cheating on her husband with Shinoda. Additionally, Bentley also tweeted that she never really loved Bennington and was just with him for his money. All of the posts have since been deleted.
After the Twitter controversy, the former Playboy model was spotted for the first time with one of her twin daughters and their dog on their way to the mall, according to the Daily Mail.
“Carpool Karaoke: The Series” will premiere on Aug. 8 on Apple Music. It is being executive produced by “Late Late Show” host James Corden.
