Twitter Reacts To Chester Bennington's Wife Talinda Ann Bentley's Alleged Account Hack

The official Twitter account of Chester Bennington's wife Talinda Ann Bentley may have been hacked, social media users speculated after a series of disturbing tweets were sent out from her account, and then deleted moments later, following her husband's apparent suicide. The Linkin Park frontman died Thursday at the age of 41 and his body was found hanging in the bedroom of his Los Angeles home.

"I guess this is the time to say it but I have been cheating on Chester with Mike Shinoda....," one of the deleted tweets read, while another said: "I never really loved him and I'm not hacked I just was in love with the money hurts to say."

One of the tweets on the account hinted that Bentley might also harm herself as the message read: "Im going to see chester tomorrow in hell.. I hope my kids the best."

Another message sparked concerns over the circumstances in which Bennington killed himself. “He didn’t kill himself, he was already did [sic] before he hung himself, I have proof...”

While there has been no official statement from Bennigton's family or by Bentley regarding the tweets, many social media users said her account was hacked. Some Twitter users slammed the hacker, while others thought the messages were being posted by Bentley herself.

Whether her Twitter account was hacked or not, Bentley is also yet to respond publicly to her husband's death.

All the messages related to Bennington's death and the alleged cheating scandal were deleted moments after being posted. It remains unclear if they were being deleted by Bentley or an alleged hacker. Twitter users urged the micro-blogging site's support team to look into the alleged hack. Many others called on the hacker to stop sending out the insensitive messages.

Bennington, who is survived by his wife and six children, suffered from drugs and alcohol addiction.

“Let me give you a typical day. I’m a recovering alcoholic, that’s the first thing. I have a big family. I’ve got three kids in college, one in high school, one in fifth grade and twin girls who are 5; they are in pre-K. I have two pigmy goats, three bantam chickens, a tortoise, six dogs, two cats, fish, so I have a farm,” he said in a 2016 interview with the Las Vegas Review Journal.

Linkin Park bandmate Mike Shinoda took to Twitter to confirm Bennington’s death Thursday, saying he was “shocked and heartbroken" after learning of his death. “An official statement will come out as soon as we have one,” he wrote.

The band, which has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, was due to begin a tour for its American leg July 27. It remains unclear at the moment whether Linkin Park will go ahead with the tour.
